This position is open to IBC Members ONLY, is paid on a Monthly Basis, and applicants must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass a background check per IBC's Background Check Policy!

IBC Nursery Coordinator Job Description




Purpose:


To Ensure the nursery is a secure, nurturing environment where each child will see, hear, and feel the love of Jesus Christ and parents can feel confident their child will receive the highest quality of care and ministry. 
This individual is NOT Responsible for keeping the nursery for every service and event at IBC, but IS responsible to staff the nursery for each service and event, and will fill in if volunteers cancel or do not attend. This includes Sunday Morning Small Group / Sunday Morning Worship Service / Wednesday Evening Services / and any special service or event where nursery is needed.




Essential Functions:


-Being the lead nursery worker in order to supervise volunteer nursery workers and monitor ratio of

  workers to children.

-Overseeing the care, maintenance, cleanliness, security and safety of the nursery area and equipment.

-Making sure Nursery facilities are always aesthetically pleasing to parents and children.
-Serving as point of contact for new families with nursery age children. -Notifying the Senior Pastor or

  Pastor of Education of supplies that need to be purchased.

-Meet with the Senior Pastor or Pastor of Education to discuss the current nursery function, security, 

  operating procedures, and recommended changes as needed.
-Create a weekly Volunteer Schedule, and communicating with Volunteers via phone, text, email, or

  postcards, as a reminder of their schedule to serve.

-Providing staff for nursery when requested for special event. -Performance of other duties may be

  requested as necessary by the supervisor.

Senior Pastor and Personnel Committee



Qualifications:

1. A Member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
2. A strong Christian faith that values God’s children of all ages.
3. The Ability to Organize and Implement well.
4. Ability to relate to a variety of persons in a pleasant, friendly manner.
5. An understanding of the needs and abilities of infant/preschool children. 6. A welcoming attitude

    towards children and their families.
7. Awareness of care and procedure in case of emergencies, accidents, or illnesses.
8. Must be 18 years or older & able to pass a Background Check per IBC's Background Check Policy.



The Current Salary Structure:

-Contract Labor with a $250 Monthly Salary

-The Hired individual would receive a 1099 at the end of the year, and would be responsible to report and pay

  taxes on their own.



All Requests for Consideration should be communicated to the Senior Pastor on or before June 13, 2021. All applicable individuals will be interviewed by the Personnel Committee, and that committee will make the final decision on employment.
